HOSTAGE Live presskit

1. Overview

Band: HOSTAGE
Genre: Modern Metalcore / Alternative Metal
Origin: Germany
Distribution: Warner Music Germany

HOSTAGE is a rising modern metalcore act known for heavy, atmospheric soundscapes, emotional depth and a distinctive dark visual identity. Their music blends crushing riffs, cinematic tension, and vulnerable lyrical storytelling, resonating strongly with metalcore fans across Germany, the US, UK and Canada. They create a sound that balances aggression and vulnerability like no other.

Following their successful debut album with more than 5 million streams, a live album from Wacken Open Air 2023 and their brandnew EP "The Search" HOSTAGE is ready to take things to the next level.

HOSTAGE is quickly building a dedicated fanbase. While currently focused on their next album, their goal remains the same: bigger festivals, sold-out shows, and a record that pushes the limits of modern metal.

2. Latest Release

“The Search” is HOSTAGE’s latest release — a dark, immersive EP that marks the beginning of their new two-part album cycle. Across five tracks, it captures the band at their most vulnerable and intense, exploring isolation, self-doubt and collapsing identity. It sets the stage for the transformation that will follow in their next EP "For Clarity".
